In 2008, Pau Gasol was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers for Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, Aaron McKie, rights to Marc Gasol (Pau Gasol's younger brother), and 2008 and 2010 first round draft picks. On February 5, 2008, Pau Gasol made his first Lakers appearance in the game against the New Jersey Nets, during which he scored 24 points and had 12 rebounds, and the Lakers went on to defeat the Nets in a 105-90 victory.
